Marine Field Trip Report Dutungan Island And Paputo Beach
The beauty of the sea of the Land of Sulawesi
The beauty of the sea of the Land of Sulawesi
This is the first experience to see the beauty of the sea in the land of
Sulawesi. - Friday, October 4, 2019, Marine tour is one of the tour activities
in Makassar tourism polytechnic for the business of travel tourism. After
several tours that I have been through, this is the most memorable tour for me.
In the morning, it was time for us to get ready to leave, after my
friends and I were absent one by one and then distributing Id-Cards, we were
invited to get on the bus, our journey took 3 hours to arrive at Barru. The
initial destination, was told by the tour lider that we will visit the dutungan
Island, one of the famous islands in the Barru district which is known by its
armature. For the distance from the city center to reach the island dutungan
traveled up to 30 minutes. After arriving at the crossing pier, we were asked
to wait for a while the ship that would transport us to the island. The name of
the pier from the information I got was the beautiful Ujung pier. The distance
from the pier to the dutungan is around 500 meters with a time of up to ten
minutes, a fairly close distance to see the direct beauty of the dutungan
island. I can't wait to get to the island soon.
Arriving on the island, it was informed to us that the activities we
were going to do on this island were diving and snorkeling, of course as people
who didn't really understand, certainly not interesting to myself. We were
given direction by a local guide who was there, after changing clothes, my
friends and I were first given information about what diving and snorkling was,
how to install the equipment and the dangers and how to prevent anticipation if
something unexpected happened.
After eating together, finally my friends and I were invited to go down
to the sea by using the equipment that was provided, because of the limited
equipment, then we were allowed to go down by dividing groups. I want to feel
what is meant by diving and snorkeling. The first thing I want to try is
snorkeling, before going down, we were taught how to use the equipment for
snorkeling itself, among which the tools are the hscuba diwing mask, as diving
goggles. Then we were told to use the name Godive Fin Full Heel or also called
duck feet to facilitate swimming. When we got off we were guided by one of the
guides for the initial stages of diving, when it was adjusted, I for the first
time saw the beauty of the sea, it turned out that there were many corals,
various types of fish that have different colors. Really beautiful scenery
under the sea, this is my first time. Not satisfied there, I wanted to try how
to dive deeper.
In the morning, we continued with morning exercise, from the hotel we walked to the statue of habibi Ainun in the city of Pare Pare. After that we continue with breakfast.
After breakfast we were asked to prepare goods to go directly to Paputo
beach, Paputo is the abbreviation for the name of the white sand beach,
Tonrangang. About half an hour from the inn, we arrived in Paputo, where we
continued our observations about the feasibility and facilities of anything in
Paputo, where I was very entertained by the beauty of its beautiful beaches,
clear water so that it was easy to see from above the many coral reefs. What
entertained me also was that advisor gave my friend the opportunity to sing a
number of songs as a performance and entertainment for all of us.
At 12 noon, before we returned to our beloved campus dear, Makassar
tourism polytechnic, we did not forget to stop at a food stall that is also
beautiful named teras empang, very tasty food and nuances that are there.
After one o'clock in the afternoon, we immediately rushed home to
Makassar and finally arrived at five in the afternoon.
It was a very pleasant experience and really gave me a lot of lessons.
And for all of that, I thank you to the advisers who have guided us for the
tour this time. Maam Atri and Maam Eta, from both of us, we gained a lot of
knowledge, and also I thank the two of our tour liders, Kak Didit and Sardika
who have guided us. We and also the travel parties ranging from vendors and
drivers who have taken us and helped us until we came back safe.
